This incredible coffee is grown in the Cobán area, in the heart of Guatemala, within a farm called Chichen.
At Finca Chichen, an incredible amount of experimental work has been accomplished where they produce one of our favorite Guatemalan coffees. In the highlands of Cobán is a beautiful cloud forest, and in the middle of it is Finca Chichen, where they not only work to grow some of the most incredible coffees but also do conservation work in this forest that allows them to provide services, like free access to drinking water for 32 rural villages. His efforts go a long way toward maintaining the quality of life for the people of the area, and his attention to detail at this cafe is absolutely incredible.
It has a very good body, with notes of dark chocolate and fruity notes, where red plums and raisins appear in the mouth, which makes it a very good choice for preparation in espresso or with milk.
